Bookworm Party

Heather loves any reading materials. The best theme was a bookworm party for her 2nd year old party. The invitation card was a little book titled "Heather turns 2." Favours for the kids were story books and hand made bookmark with their initial. To keep the kids occupied, I bought plastic book jackets so the kids can decorate it with stickers. The pinata is a book sweets with goodies. I used cupcakes to make up the body of a caterpillar and jelly as the head. The effect didn't come up as I expected. Overall the kids enjoyed themselves and it was a success!

Chinese new year celebration

During the 15 days of Chinese New year whichever house you go to, there will always be good food. Every year, my husband always look forward to my aunt's peranakan food. I've learnt a few dishes and decided to try out when we had some friends over.
Ayam Buah Keluak, Bakwan Kepiting, Ngoh Hiang, Sambal prawn, Chap Chay, Braised duck and Yam paste.
